Recently, we read the paper by Cedars et al., entitled 'Conversion of traditional ossesintegrated bone-anchored hearing aids to the Baha Attract in four pediatric patients' [1]. The issue that is addressed is a relevant one; we agree with the authors that medical problems with the skin-penetrating Baha coupling might be challenging for the clinician and annoying for the children. Several papers have been published on this issue; improved surgical techniques and new implant designs have been introduced as well as the non-penetrating magnetic transcutaneous coupling.
